Decent.. but nothing in the movie really stood out. movie itself is quite long too..3 stars
Great back story and it was nice to finally see Robin Hood played by a man rather than little pretty boys.
Although there has been a many attempts at telling the Robin Hood legend on film.. this is a new take that I found appealing. Scott's retelling of the Robin Hood myth is more a prequel than anything. Telling the story of BEFORE he became Robin in the Hood. Enjoyed Crowe's portrayal of the hero.
Some people truely have absolutely NO taste for movies. The trailer hyped me up but in the end this movie was a piece of trash. I couldnt watch till the end it was that bad.
we really liked the movie it was nice to get out for a little while
I saw it opening night. Ok, I think it was a smidge too close to Gladiator..but then again it's the same director and actor. I liked Kate's acting as it made up for her looking like a mule kicked her. Sorry but even without make up and she's a farming commoner, wasn't maid Marion supposed to still be beautiful? At least somewhat visually appealing to be wanted by so many men? It was a different take on the story and I liked that. The action was good too. Totally worth seeing.
Very drawn out ..some serious lag...and it should have been more about john $ Robin ...one on one not this....kill the french spy and fight the french on a beach... not happy ....want refund..two stars for special effects....
I've seen this all before. There were no surprises because the story is so well known. Yes the actors were good, but overall it was just good, certainly not excellent, and I for one am not interested in any sequel.
scott and russel at their best worth a watch hoping for a sequel.
Enjoyed the movie very much, can't wait for the sequel.
