well The BBC one was better but this one was close i mean hey im 11 years of age so what do i know?but i like the first one better but as i said this one is a good re-make,but you may not like it i mean whatever floats your boat right?
Absolutely wonderful! This film could make you fall in love.
Amazing. I saw this movie for the first time last night, and i am seeing it again tonight. I dont think I`ll ever get tired of it!! Looking forward to when it comes out on DVD, im sure to get it! :)
I was also skeptical but the movie is true to the book. The BBC mini-series was 10 years ago, and let`s face it, Colin Firth (45) is getting a bit long in the tooth. Matthew Macfadyen (30) had me drooling BUCKETS for Mr. Darcy... He portrays him a little more aimiably and feelingly than Firth did. Elizabeth and Darcy needed to kiss in the field (when they finally came together), though, and not at the dead end of the movie. A miniscule flaw, IMHO... I really want to see this again!!!
The Cliffnote version on a classic book.
With the BBC`s 1995 miniseries starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle still regarded as the definitive treatment of the book, it will be an uphill struggle to win audiences to what is neither a faithful rendition nor a very interesting new interpretation."
Can`t believe how good Matthew Macfadyen was as Darcy. It was easier to understand how Lizzie starts to fall in love with him in this one than in the BBC one. I loved that version, and loved Colin Firth as Darcy and didn`t think anyone could play the part as well, but MM did. He was different, but just as good, he brought more emotion to the part, I actually understood how Lizzie could fall for him, he was totally ripping my heart apart with his sad eyes.
HORRIBLE!!!! The acting was awful (except Keira KNightly and Judy Dench) but the actor playing Darcy cannot act....
Absolutely beautiful
The A&E (BBC) mini-series is and shall remain the last word on this book!
