I thought it was a very different kind of action film that engaged the viewer to watch the entire film, on the edge of your seat, holding your breath. A great escape from reality. I gave it 5 stars. It is nice to see a movie that can be great without a lot of swearing, violense and sex.

While the effects are far superior to the original Poseidon, the dialogue is lacking and the character development is weak. It does keep you on the edge of your seat, however, and is very fast paced. It`s a good movie to watch if you just feel like sitting back, relaxing and enjoying your popcorn.
