I still like the original better, but even with the actors that are in this film (love Kurt Russell and Richard Dreyfuss!) the water trully is the star of this film! If you are scared of the water, don`t see this film! Well done!

Honouring the seventies classic of `the disaster movie` this movie never lets up. It is an incredible few hours with every cliche you can imagine which in this case is worthy and wonderful. Fantastic graphics in the initial `rollover` combined with Kurt Russell`s endearing screen presence make this a great popcorn movie. Definitely a hit if you leave your suspension of disbelief in the foyer.

A decent movie but not good enough to rate higher. I didn`t see it as being so much better than the original...that is it didn`t demonstrate a great reason for having done a remake. If you can`t make it much better, you shouldn`t bother at all.
