I saw this movie on the weekend and I have to say that it is perhapes one of the best films I have seen sine LOTR Trilogy, the film was well writen and directed by the Cohen Bros., the acting was spectacular, cinematography was amazing. Now I have to worn you people this is not the type of film for average joes, it for movie buffs like me, I thought this film at first was about Javier Bardom and Josh Brolin, but I was mistaken, the film is about Tommy Lee Jones and his struggle with how the present is.
I admit, the ending is not the greatest, but the movie is still very creepy and engaging. Bardem freaked me out and josh brolin did a great job. This is a movie that grows on you - a very good flick.
This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Excellent story line and amazing acting. Man or woman, you will LOVE this movie. If you don't, you are dumb!
Sorry to disappoint all the Ben Affleck fans out there but this movie has characters and a dramatic un-Hollywood structure. It is in English but obviously needs subtitles for all the candy bar connoisseurs. Maybe part VI where the antagonist meets the winner of AVP will be more your style.
Go see this movie!
Ok. I want to set the record straight with this movie. I am generally a open minded movie watcher. This is why I must say honestly this movie is reallllllllllllly boring. I mean going to the movies is supposed to be entertaining. Don't believe the hype......If curious wait to rent it. Truly a waste of time for any NORMAL movie watcher.
A very well-done film. Everyone in the theatre was tense with anticipation and fear. The acting is fantastic, along with everything else. Although the focus cleverly shifts from the man who finds the money to the sherrif, the former character was nevertheless extremely important, and his departure from the movie is ineffectively handled. It leaves the viewer wanting more...in the sence that it is unfullfiling. But maybe that's the feeling that the movie is going for. The viewers are just as powerless to change the outcome as the characters themselves. Intense.
Most audiences will look at the film and see only the simple plot of a fugitive and his two pursuers, but is there more being said and more being asked within the wide open spaces of No Country for Old Men? Indisputably.
Best movie I've seen this year.
worse movie I have seen in ages. Waste of money
