An interesting comical twist in the superhero genre whereby the focus of the plot is on the failed relationship between a superhero and her average bf. Don`t expect amazing visual effects in this movie but it certainly has its funny moments especially in the scenes where G-Girl gets back at Owen Wilson.
Funny...a feel good superhero movie!
I thought the movie was "ok" but that they could have had more fun with it. It is definitely geared towards men since most of it revolves aroound having sex and losing their manly`ness` to a super woman. It was a bit funny and let`s face it watching a man cringe after they`ve dumped is always fun.
it was a really great movie it made me laugh if ur down & want 2 see a movie & have a good laugh go see my super ex-girlfriend.
not the best movie ever, and yet curiously hilarious...love uma looovvveee luke
If my friends ask, I`ll tell them to wait and rent it. It was OK.
A Super Chick kickin some Ex-boyfriend Butt? How can you not love that??!!
Goooooood Funnnnnnny movie. Sit and enjoy
The supposed comedic points in this movie were childish and nonsensical at best. With a storyline that was mixed up with irrelevancy and bore, this was Uma Thurman`s worst movie ever, and I`d have whoever convinced her to do it, fired immediately. I went to see the movie just for her, and was sorely dissapointed and left feeling bad for Uma.
*My Super Ex-Girlfriend* has one of the finest trailers ever released, and all the film`s best lines and visual gags. Unfortunately, there`s just not enough interesting commentary in this film on relationships (as in *When Harry Met Sally*) or curiosity about the lives of superheroes (*Mystery Men*) which would make this a truly engaging, funny or enduring film. I had very high hopes for this film; alas. Better luck next time.
