i think it was fairly good, the beginning began quite slow but eventually the ending picked up and had some good parts. i particularly like the "slow motion" part
The first of the movie is not very interesting, but as the end nears it gets better, with more action and an explanation of everything that went on. Even though, this movie is supremely dark, always twilight colours, even during the daytime--kind of depressing! Alright movie; nothing great though.
Basically, If you played the game and loved it. Don't go see this. I've been waiting forever for this movie, as to me, it had one of the best stories out there and I actually cared about the characters. The story in the game takes place in one night. The movie is about a week or so. It was just ridiculous. I can not even explain how disappointed I was. They fooled around with the story way too much and changed up almost all the events. The Punchinello Family is not even mentioned in this movie. And they are a huge part of the story. So disappointing. Wait for DVD.
looks like real excapist fantasy & a great breakout roll for Mila Kunis, Mark Wahlberg is a very believeable Action Hero.
just terrible.
Terrible plot and idea The scenery and effects are amazing and that is the only reason I even gave it one star Just terrible. I think i lost IQ points watching it. So so so stupid DO NOT see this movie
Max payne is suppost to be a film noir!!! WHAT HAPPENED???
It could have been good... great even... but did not hit the mark. Mark W. did a great job ; but there is only so much you can do. 2 or 3 more drafts and removal of the goofy umm... "drug visions" would have made it work perfect. There was just something off... D
Mark Wahlberg is not good in this movie. From watching the trailer and then watching the movie itself, I must say that the trailer is misleading. Movie is also slow, and there may be a sequel in the works ....
The trailer for this movie is completely misleading. This has to be the slowest-moving action movie I have ever watched. It's not even worth the price of a DVD rental.
