lost love found after five decades.A beautiful idea. Even though the end is predictable, the exquisite Tuscan scenery ans the inimitably sensitive acting by Vanessa Redgrave kept me riveted to the screen to the end.

Loved the movie-everyone in the theatre really seemed to enjoy it. great love story. Both my husband and I were disappointed that the trailer we had previously seen in the theatre showed Claire meeting up With Lorenzo-took away the element of surprise and uncertainty. We would have enjoyed the movie even more if we hadn't already seen the trailer.A lot of trailers tend to show too much of the movie. Have already suggested friends should see it.

When Sophie responds to the letter as Juliet, the letter writer, Claire (Redgrave) arrives in Italy determined to find her lost love Lorenzo. Claire is accompanied by her skeptical grandson, Charlie (Egan), and Sophie spars with him while encouraging Claire to get her answers about her sweetheart. Italy, as always, films beautifully and is the star of the show. Redgrave as Claire is gracious and lov
