I was put off by pretty much the whole movie. A thinly veiled moral/religious sermon in the guise of science fiction, it was dark, almost Gothic from beginning to end. It's just one more movie that uses a cosmic catastrophe to make the statement that we humans are somehow unworthy of continued existence. In fact, we're so unworthy that the only answer is scrubbing the planet clean of life and starting over with certain select children who will be saved, deus ex machina-style by intervening aliens, and transplanted. Thanks but no thanks. This is definitely not a movie that sends you out of the theater uplifted. Think "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", but make it dark and depressing, and
Interesting action packed thriller! I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It was also mixed with sadness and hope. Awesome sound effects and graphics. It shows the vulnerability of the human race and all other living species existing among titanic forces beyond our control.
I am not surprised at the number of complainers who fear the inevitable end of this civilization as we know it. I was a bit disappointed at the final destruction just before the end. But the saving of the two children brings hope. A great movie! Excellent graphics and awesome sound effects!!!
It was quite violent
ENDING WAS SOOOO BAD
I agree with almost everyone.....movie was very interesting until about three quarters through.....then it was like a child had to finish the ending......very disappointing end!!
This movie was enjoyable and entertaining, but nonetheless still came up quite short in being what I would consider a "good" movie. The science in and religion mix added in with the Adam and Even ending honestly was fine with me. I was bothered by how all over the place the movie was and their "surprise" twists and turns should be accredited more to the ridiculous side than the clever or witty. Do not pay to see this in theater. Rent it from a redbox for a dollar.
enjoyed the movie, ending wasn't ridiculous. Gives food for thought.
I was seriously disappointed. Good movie up until the last quarter or so. It left me thinking they had half a story from a real writer and filled it in themselves. I never write reviews, but after seeing the ending I was spitting at how stupid it was.
The beginning of the film had potential. It almost seemed like they got half way through and said "What do we do with this lemond now?" It was a piece of junk. Don't waste your money and not even for video rental. Very disappointing.
