Enjoyed the songs as one who loves musicals. It is very lively and never boring. One thing is that it brings out the deep emotions of each character throughout the plot and even brings tears to the eyes. The special effects are fantastic and breathtaking. We need great Christian movies like these.
Was so well done, choreography wonderful, music and singing phenomenal, a beautiful and tender Christmas story, with drama and comedy all rolled into a great performance.
Strange and not in a good way.
What a great idea!!!! A musical about the greatest story ever told!!!!! The talent was spectacular!!!!!! Thank you so much for a fabulous movie!!!!!!!!!!
A friend and I decided that we would go see the movie "Journey to Bethlehem " this afternoon. After enduring this painfully horrific spoof for about forty-five minutes we finally asked for our money back and left. This thing cringes on so many levels. Unless you would enjoy seeing a song and dance spectacle about the birth of our Savior emulating the three stooges in a Disney princess movie I suggest you give this a good pass.
Sure, it does take dramatic license with the Scriptures. But you expect that. It was extremely well done. Everyone was perfectly cast for the roles. It will make an impact on you.
My first opinion was "how can the birth of our savior seriously be a musical"? It worked. We were a three generation viewing and we three loved it! What a great way to celebrate this most joyful season!
I loved this movie. I knew it was a musical before I saw it and was surprised to see that it had comedy also. This new fresh story of the Journey to Bethlehem was so enjoyable. I'm going to see it again and bring a friend.
My husband suggested we go see the movie and didn't tell me it was a musical-I was kinda surprised. I typically don't care for musicals but most of the songs really great! Reminiscent of classic Disney movie songs; different melody lines-almost musically poetic Andrew Lloyd Webber. Particularly powerful scene when vielled Mary sits on the sideline as both evil and angelic Joseph musically battle out the struggle he's going through-I could see it again-:)
Everything. Haven't seen it yet, but I just know.
