Gritty, touching and surprisingly funny at times. The violance has consequences which most movies don't show these days.
Decent revenge movie, kind of Caine's answer to Gran Torino. Unlikely plot made good with respectable actting and decent action. Not Caine's best, but far from his worst too.
Middle of the road thriller could have been better, but Michael Caine almost single-handedly saves this film from the scrap heap. Violence is redeamed by timeliness of the script, that's all.
Michael Caine like wine improves with aging.
This triller is the perfect Micheal Caine vehicle. Thin story bracketed by fine lead performance makes Harry Brown work despite its flaws.
It was interesting.
Michael Caine was phenomenal but the script didn't give him enough to work with. I was also put off by the muted visual style.
this movie blows
Nice change of pace for Micheal Caine. Not the most original script, (see Grand Torino), but forgivable.
Not the most spectacular or dazzling flick when it comes to action, but it's a really good story of a man who's got nothing to lose in order to save his little part of the world. Liked it a lot. Michael Caine did a great job as an ol' badass.
