Considering I don't like boxing, this movie pleasantly surprised me as it was very funny. I enjoyed all the one-liners and had lots of LOLs! My friend I took also enjoyed it, and of course there were even a few emotional moments. Overall, well done and glad I had the opportunity to preview. Thanks Tribute!
Grudge Match was a pleasant and genuinely funny film. The rivalry set up between Stallone's Henry "Razor" Sharp and DeNiro's Billy "The Kid" McDonnen provided and excellent springboard for some great jokes centred around the fight promotion industry, growing old in the technology boom and some plain slapstick. But in the midst we also get a heartwarming tale of rekindled romance and bond between a father and son who never grew up with one another. Jon Bernthal and Alan Arkin lend excellent support to the cast, with Arkin giving us some of the funnier moments and it was great seeing Kim Basinger on screen again. All in all this movie a general feel good movie with lots of la
Grudge Match turned out to be much better than I expected! I thought the story has been told many times before, but this had solid acting, humor and enjoyable. must admit it did get a bit "mushy" in the end and I felt it was not necessary for the storyline. But overall enjoyable with excellent acting
I was offered an advance screening ticket so I offered to my boyfriend to go and see it. I have to admit I was more in the spirit of pleasing my boyfriend than really wanting to watch the movie. The movie actually turned out to be entertaining! It is a great easy-watching, brainless movie almost sure to please everyone as there are guys punching each-other as well as a love story, family reunion and love-hate relationships ...
I thought it was a very good movie, great actors, story line was kind of predictable but all in all I enjoyed the move very much.
I was a fan of the Rocky movies and enjoyed spending a few hours watching some of my favourite actors. It was a fun little escape from my holiday "To Do" list. I would recommend it.
it was really good . I enjoy it
I went in not expecting a lot out of this movie and was pleasantly surprised. Although the story is a bit on the predictable side there's enough heart and laughs in the story to make it worth watching. The acting is solid all around, I especially enjoyed Jon Bernthal as Robert De Niro's son. It has a lot of laughs as well the best comic moments coming from Alan Arkin and Kevin Hart. Go see it and bring the popcorn.
I would like to personally thank many of our geriatric action stars for their contributions to the genre in the 1980's. I'm not sure how I feel about their latest efforts, but this one was passable.
Interesting premise, having the stars of Rocky & Raging Bull play retired boxers with a grudge to settle. Both played their parts well and the movie was quite funny. I would recommend this movie to my frieds.
