i like johnny depp, and he's good in this, but could have been a bit better. interesting movie.

i always enjoy any movie johnny depp stars in. the make-up artists do such an awesome job. you can never tell it's him.

a good movie, but certainly not what i expected after watching the trailer. it was much darker with far less comedy than expected, but enjoyed it overall.

an enjoyable twist on the comic books i read as a kid. loved what depp did with the barnabas character.

i thought this movie was absolutely wonderful! tim burton always has something superb to watch and not to mention a great job by johnny depp and helena bonham carter!

i went in knowing dark shadows had been downgraded from a serious soap opera to a sloppy comedy so i had little expectations from the start. i was pleasantly surprised to be taken in by the characters, environments and overall feel of the film. depp is actually very good as the barnabas character but that's where things started and ended for me. depp's portrayal of the rodent-like barnabas kept the film entertaining and endearing. unfortunately it was everything that was happening around him that weighed down the film from being successful. despite having little expectations i found myself being increasingly disappointed by how the film progressed. everything about dark shadows became it

all johnny depp movies are awesome. the makeup artists always do such an exceptional job because you can never tell it's him and i really enjoy that.

loved the movie. johnny depp is excellent as usual. tim burton directs superbly as usual. great combination to create a great masterpiece.
