Dissapointing, and overrated. The story line has potential, and the acting is quite good, but the script is mediochre and very unbelievable, as are the characters` actions. Clive Owen is this film`s saving grace, if it has any grace, he is amazing. Robert`s character is boring, Portman`s annoying, Law`s is over the top. At the end you will be like, huh? what the hell? worth a $5 movie ticket, no more.
Julia is such a fox, People who enjoy this movie will probly have some concept on how betrayal feels on either end. If you`ve always been lucky in love or in some serious denial about your relationship, you`ll probly think it`s boring or vulgar. Have fun!
Absolutely terrible. I hated this movie and have also decided I pretty much hate every movie Jude Law is in. Talk about an actor being OVERRATED!!!! He does absolutely nothing for me.
Natalie Portman is a very attractive young woman. I appreciate the her character portrayal of realism. I really felt for her and thought to myself, "Wow she is a great gal, she deserves better than that." I guess you can never judge a book by its cover. However, I thought that she is a lesson to learn from for most guys when dealing with any woman that you do not know well. It took "old boy" four years to find out about her situation. Come on fellas, circumspection is my favorite word when it comes to women. Circumspection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Overall, I thought it was a good story.
Wow, entirely overrated as it is being called one of the best movies of the year. Not a total waste of time but not nearly as profound as it tries to be. This movie spends far too much time trying to be clever and rarely is. Well acted by good actors playing shallow characters a - C.
Amazing acting, amazing story, amazing everything! I am absolutely in love with this movie
Thought provoking. However, at times the dialogue seems a little contrived....or a lot like seeing a play. Which makes a bit of sense seeing that the movie is based on a play. However it also makes little sense seeing as there are many gifted screenwriters who should be able to adapt something decent for the big screen. All the actors seemed a little grittier and a little less attractive than in real life...but maybe that`s what made it so engrossing. I wanted to see more, while all the while hating every character. Kinda like watching Omarosa....you just can`t wait to see what horrible things they`ll say and do next. An intere
1 reason too see this movie & that`s natalie portman. She`s so hot.
if you wanna see a movie that`s gonna potray human emotions as versatile and "sans" glamour, as one possibly could,go and see this movie...it makes you think about yourself, your relationships and those you share them with....it is not a movie coated with sugar....one of the best movies,i`ve ever seen....loved it,loved it,loved it
This is the worst picture I have ever seen in my 63 years of movie going. Even Christmas with the Kranks was far better. Jamie Lee Curtis is a much better actor than Julia Roberts. Julia is a no talent in this movie with little emotion. A "Ten Fingers Down" type of movie. To sum it all up - BORING - BORING - BORING. If this movie was to delve into personal relationships and focus on honest feelings - what should we expect next - a bathroom scene that will last 2 hours? Thnis is where this mvoie should end up - down the toilet!
