in 25 years if they come out with a movie like this about a man and woman will it be as shocking? i hope not.

Give me a break....this is a poor excuse for a love story...two forgetable and weak characters giving in to their penchant for homosexual romps while deceiving their families and themselves.... if they were hetrosexuals doing the same type of thing we would be far less sympathetic.....I am not buying into the Hollywood hype... it was a big disappointment...

I loved it! What a great film, depicting the struggle gay men in the 60s, 70s and 80s had to go through in the face of an unaccepting society. The acting was superb and the cinematography was gorgeous. I definately deserves a number of Oscars, especially Best Picture.

Tragic love story...Made you feel desperate and anxious, hoping their love could keep them together not through the time but through the place...Watched it once, will not watch it again...heart-breaking...

The only people who would enjoy this movie are gay. Cannot believe this movie would ever be nominated for anything.

A bad movie about two men who turn their own bodies into putrid sewers and cheat as well.

I thought this was a wonderful movie about the life long deep friendship that developed. If only everyone could have that happen more than once.

It was a hard watch at first...but I couldn`t leave, I had to see it through. I`m a little disappointed that Heath had to mumble, makes it look as if dumb people are easily pulled into gay relationships. They take you through some real emotions...roller coaster ride. It brought up many feelings, not only feelings of gay`s hiding their loves, but many racial resentments that still exist today...the fear, the torture, the ridicule that some minorities must face each and every day. Very emotional movie. I`m glad I saw it...but don`t know that I will ever see it again...by way of renting or buying a CD.
