I’m a little tired of the whole “me too” movement but this was a pretty good movie.
Where is Charlie Rose-CBS, Matt Lauer-Today Show, and Mark Halperin-NBC News? After all, Fox News was just the beginning of the "takedown". Then the dominoes began to fall all over the place.
Truly a zero! For the person who referred to Fox viewers as "mental midgets" I would recommend they ask ABC why they killed Amy Robach's story on Jeffrey Epstein, a pedophile who sex trafficked young, underage girls for men in powerful places? Would some of their execs be exposed?? What about the rumor that CNN's CEO, Jeff Zucker had extramarital affair(s), & who knows who he sexually harassed at his news corp.?! Liberal media has a way of silencing their female employees, whereas Fox at least purged their media of the predators when they were exposed. This is just more one-sided Hollywood propaganda.
Anti Fox. The movie was not fair and balanced!
This is a well-done film. The number of one-star ratings here are political -- likely supplied us by folks who did not see the film. They think Roger Ailes was framed by feminists, I suppose. Excellent acting all around, most particularly by Charlize Theron who was made up to be a dead ringer for Megyn Kelly. Well worth seeing, except perhaps for the people who think bosses should have sexual access to their employees. Guru Bob says...……………..87/100
Saw 'Bombshell' on Boxing Day (2019 Movie) — Charlize Theron as Megyn Kelly, Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson, Margot Robbie as composite character Kayla Pospisil. Contrary to Rotten Tomatoes rating of 67, I would rate this movie as at least an 85+ with a powerful cast and a compelling story. The supporting cast is extremely strong and the pace of the film based on the true MeToo story at FOX News nails the narrative. It is actually a precursor to the MeToo movement, making it even more relevant. I've never liked Fox, so obviously I enjoyed it more, if enjoy is even the correct term. It is a highly relevant film and some scenes are extremely uncomfortable to watch, but necessary. Particularly so for a guy, even a progressive guy. Theron absolutely nails the role of Megyn Kelly, as do the others in their roles. Margot Robbie is simply terrific, she is becoming perhaps the most dynamic and versatile actor of her generation. No giveaways here, simply, go see it. Recommended.
Serious subject of sexual harassment by a fat Jabba the slob roger Ailes (died 2017) at Fox network. The best acting was Charlize Theron as Megan Kelly (she aced the husky voice imitation). Margot Robbie good as the overly ambitious victim. Kidman was ok as Greta. There’s no action as it’s more of an expose of how messed up Fox News was with sex offenders like Ailes and oreilly abusing women.
Incredibly boring ... hard to sit thru, but we arrived too late to see Little Women. Kept looking at my watch, which seemed to stand still. Fake News film, pass on it ...
A political steaming worthless pile of cow dung!
"Based on true events" just means 90% fake. This was unwatchable .. people were walking out.
