It was based on a true story. The truth be told . . .
Dividing instead of uniting
Highly recommended. Best movie I've seen so far this year.
I only like about 50% of the comedies I see anyway; however I don't find "dumb" to be funny or clever.
A very powerful piece of film making. I cried at the end and I havent cried in a movie in a long time. Racism in the modern world is just so stupid and bad and tragic. Spike Lee really knowns how to make a good film. The only reason I didnt give it 5 starts is I found the story line between Ron and his love interest a little dragged and rushed.
Good movie! Not for Kids or Trumpites.
Notorious racist Spike Lee returns to grind the same axe yet again. The core story here is an interesting one, but the narrative is lopsided and strident, just as in Lee's other films. This could have been good if it was made by a different filmmaker.
There's two and half hours I'll never get back!
Misleading, I think, to describe this as a 'comedy'!
great movie that opened eyes to analogy of current times and past
