Good movie, great story and pursuasive acting. Disliked for obvious reasons (Mel Gibson just to name a few) But I think overall it is very powerful. A bit gory, however they weren`t the most welcoming people and by no means were the lines crossed for this type of movie. Some scenes were a bit lengthy (Jaguar paw being chased for what seemed like an eternity) but they ended good. I`d see it again.
The chase scene is a little lengthy, but still good. Gory, but appropriate for this kind of movie. I thought it was good. Wouldn`t watch it agian though. (too long)
A very underwhelming experience.I was really looking forward to this film but,it brought nothing new to the screen.Okay,it forced you to read subtitles but this is nothing innovative.A long chase film that was only missing the proverbial car crashes that would make it like any other Hollywood piece of mundane filming.Very grahic violence does not make a good film and Mel tried but could not out gore The Passion of the Christ.Maybe Mel just needs to find a good script that does not involve the spilling of blood on the screen.Disappointing film.....
I walked out about half way from the end because of the gory scenes. But I would like to know the end. I left after they were trowing the spears to the men chasing their freedom if they were able to cross the field without getting kill.
Very well done.Another one of Mel Gibsons`masterpiece.
This film was one of Mel`s Best and yes is was graphic and gory but so was that civilization. The violence was an accurate representation of the culture and it also served to develope the main character. Absolutely brilliant. Best movie I`ve seen in quite a long time.
Myself and several others walked out of theatre after 15 minutes. Too bad there isn`t a minus star rating. An uber violent movie that batters your senses with an ongoing slaughter house orgy. I`m really appalled that anyone would find any merit for this type of "entertainment".
awesome. Wow. This opens a whole new genre of film!
this is a good movie. it is by no means brilliant, as some people are calling it, but it`s definitely not bad either. it`s a good story and the subtitles aren`t a problem. after about five minutes, you forget you`re even reading them. the fight scenes are pretty gory, though, especially at the beginning. i realize that they`re obviously essentiel for the movie but they`re much more graphic and drawn out than they need to be. also, i found mel gibson`s directing job mediocre. but one of the really good things was that the story had an excellent main character. the acting was good and the character himself was very appealing. i couldn`t help bu
Excellent...one of the best movies I`ve seen in a long while. It felt as if only an hour had passed while I watched it- it ended too soon. A bit graphic for some I would imagine. Not inaccurate as some have suggested- all cultures have had periods of violence at least. After a while you seem to scarcely notice it is subtitled!
