troy sucked so much. it was all wrong mythologicslly, and peterson even felt the gods were too silly for the film. this movie is what troy SHOULDVE been. alexander is oscar worthy, and there were barely any gay scenes, so i dont know why everyone is complaining. it kicked troys behind any day of the year.

COLIN FARRY WAS GREAT IN THE MOVIE

User rating: December 4, 2004

the best movie of the year. by far. everyone who hates this movie is out of their mind. its a tale of a leader who was fueled by rage and taken down by his own greed and lust for war. colin farrell did a good job, angelina hot as usual. there arent any real gay scenes in this film, only implications. all you haters are insane.

This movie was horrid. The use of the maps stunk. The narrator did a terrible job. Where was the gordian knot? Where is his teacher Aristotle, the Egyptian oracle? His first battle was when he was 16. I want my money back and the time I wasted. Oliver Stone this time you really did a lousy job.

Its not a bad movie but it was not a great movie as it should have been. More emphasis was made on his bisexuality than his accomplishments. Significant events and elaborate conquests were replaced with extended homosexual dialogues. Colin Farrel did not fit into the character of a legendary conqueror at all. He did however manage to (although sickening) portray the other scenes the way Mr. Stone intended. The progression of the story focused more on his controversial feelings towards men and women - yes, we get it already, can we please focus on the epic adventures a little more. All great leaders and people in history have their little flaw
