Sadly, one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time (except for the scenery and I'm not referring to the people). Poor script, poor direction, too many extreme closeups of the actors obviously "acting" (and doesn't do any favours to Redford...he sure isn't Sundance or Hubbel anymore, Nolte looks as expected - no surprise there), poor pacing, scenes go nowhere - no point to some of them. Too bad.
Very Good...Entertainment
Good
A pleasant surprise! I was expecting to see a story of physical hardship and soul searching. What I got was a comedy and the uniting of old friends. Great!!!
Such a treat to really laugh along with friends and a theatre full of others. Nick Nolte delivered his lines like like a pro. Best movie I have enjoyed for the pure entertainment for years
Very funny movie by two old guys. I think to really appreciate the humour you have to be in the senior group yourself. If your younger you can't really associate with their moans and groans, aches and pains. We wholehartedly laughed many times.
I'm 68 and just saw this movie tonight, and I thought it had some merit because of Robert Redford in it, and I WAS looking forward to seeing Nick Nolte, but I found the movie in somewhat bad taste, not all that funny really and Nick Nolte was most unbelievable in the role and pretty gross actually. Disappointing...:(
This movie was hilarious. The whole audience was laughing. If you didn't find it humorous, you need to lighten up a little and start enjoying life.
Funny movie with great scenery
So glad we went on a Tuesday as it was very boring with a few funny bits. Nick nolte has aged so badly it was painful to watch him and hear his horrid voice. If you're in need of a nap by all means go.
