An insightful and sensitive rendering of a destructive illness, finely performed by all participants and an inspiration to all those concerned.
Crowe is a stiff face!
The rating said either you love it or totally dislike it..... Quite polarized eh? It was good to have a serious movie after all those Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Kate and Leopold etc etc.
First rate movie. Many stay away from this movie because of the subject matter, thinking it will be boring -- it`s not. On the contrary, it`s brilliant.
I love `babe` crow but in this movie he didnt appeal to me at all... however, this movie was absolutly phenonominal! He is the most deserving for an award... on ther other hand, i cant stand the chick who is playing his opposite! pearl harbor-YUCK!
after this movie, i now believe that russell crowe deserved an oscar last year. let`s see if he can win another one this year. that`ll make a guiness record. the movie was unpredictable. go watch it.
It was wonderfully acted and superbly directed. Both Russell Crowe and Ron Howard should win Oscars for their excellent work!
Great insight into the effects of Schizophrenia and the limited treatment available in the 50`s and 60`s. The acting and directing was superb;not an easy subject to portray on the screen and still capture audience interest. Excellent ending - prescribed medication and family support allowing the patient to fulfill realistic dreams
A guaranteed Oscar for Crowe!
absolutly amazing.........picture and actor of the year....without a doubt
