The Best movie of the century!!!

Excellent film. Some of the side characters were a little over the top (ie. head chopper guy) and should have likely been omitted. The historical facts are facinating in and of themselves. The film definitely had the Frank Miller feel to it (which I appreciate). Reminded me a bit of Gladiator/Lord of the Rings.

Special effects were amazing. Enjoyed the action and suspense.

This movie is based on a Frank Miller comic however, there are many historical facts that Herodotus has written that are exact in the movie. Do most of you even know who Herodotus was??? Go read up on the battle of thermopylae on wikipedia dot org and then post your "personal views" about historical facts. Ohhh and the monster in one of the battle scenes is called "symbolism". He is symbolic of the size and power of Persia compared to Greece in 480 B.C. Frank Miller is amazing! Many should study their history and art of film and then post a message.

A fiction movie with an untrue story should not use real names (specially a nation or race) or refer to real evidence in history. Doing so, makes the young and historically-uneducated audience confuse about reality and worse than that unleash the racist people to bring up their ugly feelings. To those people who wants to support the movie by proving the story or deny all the racism influence: at least respect your own intelligence and logic. You can enjoy the action without insulting other nations: aboriginal Indians, Germans, French, Greeks (in “Alexander the great”), and now Persians. I prefer science-fiction but I can enjoy superman as
