As the trailer for The Dark Horse opens, we're introduced to Genesis (Cliff Curtis), who we quickly learn has a history with the game of chess. As the trailer unfolds, we discover that Genesis is battling back from a troubled past and seeks to redeem himself by coaching a group of young, eager children to the National Chess Championships in a short six weeks. This glimpse of the film gives us a look into the emotionally charged Genesis and the inspired children he fills with hope.
