It was a paint-by-the-numbers movie, but I think it was done really well. I have to say, I think Lopez took some acting lessons. It made me look up Mr. Robles and I was impressed to see how accurate the story is. Real life, is stranger than fiction. I think this is a great movie about overcoming the odds. It isn't one about someone of a different race being around others unlike they are and having to overcome racist opinions. This was about a disables kid who was mature beyond his years and had the heart of a champion. A lot of people think they can beat someone else (insert sport here), with one hand tied behind their backs. Well, this kid did it, but without a leg and wrestling of all sports!
Seeing what Anthony Robles did to overcome challenges and make the most of every opportunity makes me want to push myself to be my best and learn how to wrestle.
