A subject that needs a lot more exposure and talk. I admire Kevin Bacon for taking on such a contraversal subject. There is a problem that this film addesses that no one wants to have a rashnal conversation about.
Excellent..very well handled considering the delicate subject matter. You felt both disguist and sorry for him. It was great that Kyra and Kevin did it together..in a sensitive way..they have children together so they`d understand. The only thing I found unbelievable was how fast they moved in together. Very timing topic right now and it was handled beautifully.
A good performance from Kevin Bacon and all of the cast members. The movie was good, but will likely not stay in the theatre too long as it deals with a controversal topic as society tends to sweep everything under the rug that they are not comfortable with. Face it, the world is far from being a perfect place. Good to see that some directors and studios have some guts to present this type of topic rather than making the all mighty buck.
This brilliant and contraversial film will give you lots to talk about.Every perspective is considered and every person in the main characters life greatly influences his ability to leave behind his compulsive behavior. From those who despise him, those who want to destroy him ,to those who feel they can support him to the victims who open up to him to allow him to understand their pain. This movie poses the question---What if the only thing that you know to give you pleasure-made you an outcast to society-put you in a prison-isolated you? I challenge everyone who is in a prison of their own compulsion to consider the stakes. Also... notice t
Art immitates life...or in this case, our worst nightmares. Kevin Bacon gives us a brave performance and made a bold move in taking this role and BECOMING the character. Even though you may never trust such a person but you might allow yourself to feel empathy toward his character(GASP !!) True,it is NOT an easy topic in society and many people will certainly lash out in protest. As a parent of a daughter myself I became very uncomfortable in my seat during some keys moments of the story, even outraged. BUT, I repeat, but, I also went to see this movie knowing very full well its content and approached it without judgement. That is, to me,
The premise of this movie makes me sick. I can`t believe they would make a movie about this. I can`t believe that two so well known actors would make this film. This is advertised as a heartfelt, give the psycho a second chance movie. Sex offenders should never be given a second chance to do it again. Disgusting!
