Joan Allen did a magnificent job in this movie. She portrayed (so well) a women that was totally p----- most of the time. She was so believable. Everyone else was great too. What a message!!! Oscar caliber for Joan. What a fox! I know, been there & done that. I have past experience with women like her character. Hey Joan, Many kudos.
i thought it was a good movie...
I thought the movie, in and of itself, was well done. On the other hand, having been a daughter who`s lived through the anger of the jilted mother, and the subsequent alcohol abuse, the movie quite disturbed me.
The acting was outstanding..5 stars to Joan Allen. I liked that there was a twist, however, I didn`t like that it was so morbid. It was slow at first, liked it much better by the end.
I was a good movie, the message was good but not earthshattering or new.
It was a place to kick your shoes off and stay awhile, profound message, great acting by both Allen & Costner, refreshing, realistic, comical, the blood sweat and tears of everyday life portayed well by all. Truly entertaining and more
I loved this movie... Evan Rachel Wood, youa are GREAT ( beautiful, pretty, perfect) I love you =)
Great, well-rounded movie. Funny throughout yet good drama. Lots of good laugh out loud parts. Costner did his thing again.
I did not expect it to be that enjoyable but I was pleasently surprised. No special effects, but just honest emotion and situations that made you laugh and cringe.
It was very nice to see Kevin Costner fall in love with someone his own age. Very believable, passionate movie about love and life. Would recommend this for anyone above the age of 25.
