Went to see it again and brought hubby this time. He really enjoyed it too. We're not history buffs nor do we care for much violence, but if this is accurate to what really happened, I'm blown away by it, and ever grateful for their part in saving the world in WWII. The violence is acceptable and not tortuous. So cool this story was declassified from Winston Churchill's archives. He brilliantly ordered this amazing world-saving mission, and these 6 men and 1 woman pulled it off. Thank you!
Great historical drama. If not an action scene, is working on the plans to defeat the Nazis. Totally drawn into the storyline. Will go watch again!
DEI film fest. Could have been great, but the inclusion of affirmative action actors (DEI) ruined it.
Liked this movie alot. Tolstoy a real story and hard to find good ww11 shows. Acting was goos
Good, fun, entertaining movie. It's a war movie so it's violent. British stoicism and dry humor amongst the mayhem. Done in the comic-book style - you never get the feeling these people are really in danger. But very entertaining.
Movie is a great portrayal of true events.
GREAT PLOT, ACTION, CHARACTERS...EDGE OF YOUR SEAT FUN !! Based on True Classified Secret Papers of Churchill.,,,GUY RITCHIE!! WOW! Exciting...Intense!!!
What the heck? I felt sick to my stomach when it was over.
Guy Ritchie, what more needs to be said. Cast excellent, storyline authentic and it's well worth sitting down and watching.
In short: Breathtaking, exciting, dramatic, romantic, and wildly entertaining. True story of a daring commando raid in WWII authorized by Winston Churchill when England was fighting for her life. Author of James Bond novels depicted in the movie, Ian Fleming. Fleming was in on these commando raids; he based his James Bond character on the wild-eyed Major in this dangerous raid. Going for a 3rd time this week with friends. Great to watch on the big screen.
