A very entertaining and historically, mostly, correct in this re-telling of Billy the Kid’s escape from the Lincoln County courthouse and subsequent death at the hands of former friend, Pat Garrett. The side story of the young boy and his sister was a neat touch giving a neat extra element to the well known tale. Great job Mr. D’Onofrio.
Good to see a western for a change. Some loose historical characters throw in.
Too violent. And the casting was atrocious. Who told these kids they could act? Oh, right. The director (the father of the lead actress) and the producer (the father of the lead actor). Disgusting. Obviously no auditions were held so they could actually find talented young actors. These kids may not even want to be actors, but their dads decided they would make them stars.
