The characters were very likable. Knowing that the story was based on how Spielberg's movie career developed made it fascinating. The man is a genius.
Beautiful movie about an interesting family with endearing characters and their individual struggles & triumphs…We loved it…every moment!
The 1st almost 1.5 hours was where I was going to leave but thought, no this has to pick up , and it did; When young Steven is filming a family outing, but not until processing & reviewing the film alone at home does he notice that behind his two sisters, in the background the long time family friend is going for a walk with his mother & grabs her hand to hold. Steven then becomes cold towards his mother. After confrontation with his mother, Steven privately shows the tape to his mother by starting the film & letting her view it in the room alone.. Now realizing why her sons coldness, she comes out of the room drops to her knees in agonizing guilt/torment - This is when the drama really begins. It's a slow starter but eventually packs a powerful punch. Understand the criticism by the people with short attention spans. rh
My vote is for the 3rd worst movie to come out 2022. And obviously the producers are desperate because they paid or made a lot of people to give glowing 5 stars, which tells you how bad it really is.
and this got a best picture of the year nomination ????? The Fabelmans was meh movie ????? clearly Steven Spielberg one of his weaker films as he done a lot of good one but this isn't one of them, was going to see it in the theater and saw it on rogers on demand instead, glad I didn't waste my time see it on the big screen, and the actions of the mom was down right disgusting
This movie actually had a story line and had you thinking. I despise blockbuster type of movies where there is mostly loud sounds and very little dialogue. This movie is a bit long but enjoyed it very much.
Boring and long a waste of money to watch ot in the the theater.
I watched 10 minutes of this stinker, mouth open in disbelief at how bad it was. Then I noticed all the people and bots who worked for this pile of exc rement giving it 5 stars so I felt compelled to share my opinion.
Full of Spielberg ego and way too long. Story could have been told in way less than 2 hours.
I know it got great reviews and most people love it but I thought it was boring, depressing and long. Don't want to give plot away but felt sorry for the father. Like I said, most people seemed to have liked it and will probably win awards but not a movie I want to see again.
