Incredible cinematography with a beautiful backdrop. It really makes you feel like you're there. While a little slow at times, the pacing allows you sit into your feelings as this film makes you laugh, cry, and ponder. The casting choices were spot on and the actors did a fantastic job at making you care for the characters which has become rarer these days. All I can say is my heartstrings were pulled more than once. If you decide to give this film a try be prepared for something more raw and real rather than action packed. Sit back into the art and enjoy the life of rural Newfoundland and a dying culture that the director has so beautifully brought to the screen.
Seeing and feeling the beauty of Newfoundland on the full screen was intoxicating. The slow unwinding of the plot helped us experience the pace of rural outpost living. Beautiful photography.
