Gus Van Sant is talented, but when he missteps he stumbles horribly. The atrocious EVEN COWGIRLS GET THE BLUES is turgid enough to be a career nadir for even the lowliest hack, but Van Sant outdoes his own hackwork by committing the indefensible sin of remaking Hitchcock's Psycho. Horribly miscast. Vaughn is too imposing to play Bates. Heche is completely off-kilter as Marion. Less of a remake than a really bad counterfeit.

I don`t know why people like this lame remake of the original psycho. Come on first off the movie did have potential to be some what a pretty good slasher flick but it went down hill when they introduce vince vaughn and his cheesy lame acting. Anyways the original was way better when it comes to suspense and a good creepy astmophere. In my opinion this is by far one of the worst horror movie i every seen 2 out of 10.

I thought that the movie was very well done, and reminded me of the old version by Alfred Hitch Coock.
