Actually, the movie is a POEM!
A great movie on the power of mindfulness to find pleasure and acceptance in whatever life you are living in.
Positive, uplifting. You need to be alright with slow and quiet and a bit long The story moves along gently between a handful of emotional peaks. Lead actor is very watchable. If there was an option for 3.5, that would be my choice
Perfect movie! You wouldn’t expect that cleaning toilets for living is a fulfilling experience, yet alone makes a two-hour film, but Wim Wenders hits just the right tone and atmosphere, along with great pictures of Tokyo. Several side stories, in part funny, in part sad, and sometimes both, interrupt Hirayama’s (a brilliant Koji Yakusho with a big heart) daily routine. Great cinema!
