This movie was really good. I watched it twice. I’m taking my grandkids to see it next. It had so many things I could relate to. It is much needed during these times. This generation needs to see it.
Based on a true story! Story took place in 1969 and depicts a lot of what is going on today. Lot of great lessons to learn from and well put together show! This show needs to have all the seat full.
I liked the truthful just as it happened in the 50s and 60s. Realism
This movie is remarkable and so relevant still in todays racial climate. A captivating true story from the civil rights era that pulls at the heart strings and brings you to tears. The cast was amazing. Ryan O'Quinn was phenomenal in his role as Paul and Linda Purl's outstanding performance as his dying mother has you praying alongside her for her son's soul. The supporting cast was stupendous. Nancy Stafford brought a lightheaded humor and fierceness to her role, while Josef Cannon's supporting role as Paul's childhood best friend was exceptionally heartfelt and inspiring.
amazing movie! This is so needed in today's culture and the topics are SO timely even though the movie's setting is the 1960s. Ryan O'Quinn was incredible as Paul and his range of emotions was award-worthy. The mother played by Linda Purl was excellent and made me thankful for my own praying mother. Josef Cannon and Shari Rigby were outstanding. The film MUST be watched by any praying parent who wants to raise children with the values and morals that are needed in today's society.
Loved the film, found myself emotionally moved by the story. Lots of films say “Based on True Story” but in doing research this one actually was which made it all the more powerful. The performances were great by all the actors, Ryan O’Quinn, Nancy Stafford and Josef Cannon were standouts but Linda Purl gives an Oscar Worthy turn as the dying mother praying for her sons redemption.
