A movie where humanity is the theme; A wonderful change to what many movies are not.
Pognant. Bittersweet. Bill Nighy is now my top pick for Best Actor at the Academy Awards. A gentle to LIVE YOUR LIFE.
This is a tour de force for Bill Nighy. It is a very moving, very impactful film.
it received two academy award nominations: best actor in a leading role and adapted screenplay. the academy got it wrong omitting it from the best picture list. it was sad, but i left the cinema feeling happy!. it is a positive movie about life and living your life. every one in the universe should watch this film. we need more happiness all around.
The best movie since The Way of Water.
WHAT A SPECIAL MOVIE!! THE COLOR IS LIKE THE OLD IB TECH AND THE SCRIPT IS BEAUTIFUL. I HAD TEARS IN MY EYES. WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT AGAIN. VERY TOUCHING. DONT KNOW WHY IT WAS NOT NOMINATED FOR BEST PICTURE.
I really enjoyed this. Makes you think about your life choices. Brought a tear to my eye.
Simple story about trying to find meaning in life, beautifully executed with understated performances capturing the buttoned up postwar society in the UK. Worthy of its Oscar nominations
