I am visiting from Canada. Jewel of the Desert is a wonderful tribute to The Desert Brass Band. It showcases their music and the joy they feel sharing it with others. I left the theatre feeling so good and will see it again before it closes
Cinematography and sound was exceptional. Great stories about the Band members with very well played brass band music.
I liked that you met many of the musicians and learned about their lives. I greating disliked the little cutzie girl. There was too much of her and she always wore the same dress. She acted as if she was "high" on sugar. It would have been more interesting to interview the teenagers and how they got into music and if they plan to continue it.
It shows the importance of music in our lives, and how playing an instrument enriches our life and something we can do forever. I am a member of the band.
