This movie's cinematography and harmonius editing is remarkable. Seemless meaningful scene changes, a complete joy to watch with serious implications and a Parable for all men to wise up on. Excellence in the making and viewing, Thanks to all the crew, writers and superperb acting. Thank you from Montreal Regards, Gerry G
The boyfriend Atlas is surrounded by abusive spouses, his mom, Lily and her mother, a little bit of a stretch that he's the rescue man for abused women.
My comment on the "1 star commentors"; 1. they're clueless about this movie 2. they should ONLY watch movies with simple plots; man kills man, police chase man who killed man, man who killed man goes to jail; 3. flashbacks are important in telling another time in ones life relative to the current time. (Not that confusing). 4. The " 1 stars" really JUST DIDN'T GET IT. For "better or for worse " - are you kidding me!? He didn't manipulate her to get her into bed & beat her at his every whim; He genuinely, but obsessively loved her but , had self control issues. I think the End was excellent where Ms. Lively gives an example of 'What if you had a daughter....." I think this movie was well crafted, even with whatever flaws you may find, in its message & presentation; not offensive in its romantic or violence scenes. The more I think about this movie the more I'm moved & want to see it again. RH
A strong woman and done well, glad it didn’t dwell on darkness. Showed strengths and the need to communicate. Some male acting was poor. Needs the uplift happy ending! Good interpretation of book.
I'm a sucker for a happy ending. What I didn't like it's hard for me to watch violence, but that's what it was about.
Using God’s name in vain was uncalled for. The acting was terrible and it was hard to follow. After the first 3/4 of the movie it finally had a plot besides having sex. Every young person especially needs to know the brainwashing that some use to manipulate their victims and how sly they are. This movie could have been done in a better way.
Not a romantic comedy but a romantic drama. romantic scenes were tastefully done . Violence was minimal so as not to be uncomfortable. (the "Burnining Bed" [70's] Farrah Faucett - based on a true story was the most difficult movie ever ! ,, to watch because of the domestic violence). Ms. Lively i thought gave an excellent performance. The difference is , in this movie he lashed out when angry, then was sincerely sorry he hurt her - He did genuinely love her. He respected her wishes, - In the Burnig Bed - the husband just smacked his wife up-side the head because he felt like it - most difficult movie to watch. I actually squirmed in my seat I was so uncomfortable watching the brutallity in The Burning Bed. Anyway, I hope to see it "It ends.." again. (For the confused about Flashbacks - the "flashbacks were necessary for it showed how she felt she was reliving the past again).
Great acting delivering a sensitive story without cliches. Lots of emotional turns.
Loved it 🤗🤗🤗
Did not treat with any reality.
