Anybody with a little money in their pockets should see this movie...it will prevent your money from having a hard life in the future. In this movie Money almost didn't get the direction it needed and almost ended up broken. You have to love your money.. see it grow... see it gets a proper education. You don't want your money being exchanged in some back ally for crack or wind up in some filthy casino with the odds against it. we all love our money and we want the best for it...we want to keep it secure and safe so when we are old and in a home with arthritis our money is rubbing linomint into our joints and coming to see us with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. the end
I will say that Paul Dano is great in this picture. It can lose you if you do not understand selling short and hedge funs. I am not an expert at it however I do have some idea. Not boring, but this took place during the pandemic and some of the actors are speaking through their masks which makes for their conversation being muffled. That is a drawback and loses a star just for that.
it was a eye opener
That is the way I trade, go all in buying 10-50 thousand shares of some low valued stock with a misunderstood up side, sometimes it pays off and sometimes not so much. It's like going to Vegas on a global scale. I gave it five stars for depicting all the real Americans out there grinding away at a job every day while trying to find their fortune and having the guts to bet big on an idea that just might do the trick. There are no guarantees in life, put down your money and take a chance.
Stop the cursing. It does not impress me
I enjoyed it. Paul Dano is always good.
Movie doesn't really talk about the DRS (Directly Registering Shares) movement, but I thoroughly enjoyed the film. The hedge funds never closed their shorts so the story is far from over.
I really enjoyed this movie. I had no idea this was going on just 2 years ago. Wish I had gotten in on it!
Movies about the stock market are not especially appealing but it was better than expected. I wouldn't have looked but there wasn't much that I didn't already see. Paul Dano is good otherwise there's not a lot to say about it.
