The ever-hopeful Joline (Heather Graham) confronts a test when her spouse, flaky news picture taker Carl (Luke Wilson), abandons her to wind up in Texas. Joline tracks Carl down and watches him, familiarizing herself with his calendar and new companions, including his new sweetheart Carmen (Patricia Velásquez) and his eccentric neighbor Niko (Goran Visnjic).
On first sight, this is an easy film to watch... pretty straightforward and not-exciting at all. But if you dig deeper, you will see that these characters have been displayed with a higher dimension. Goran Visnjic's character (the neighbor) is not so 1 or 2 dimensional after all. Try to think him as a family man who loves his neighbor. That is a love triangle, right there. After all, Goran Visnjic did display a stunning charisma and was up there with the main cast of the film.
