Some interesting ideas here but the pacing pretty bad. Don't be fooled by the seemingly short running time: It feels much longer than it is and it seems to take forever to wrap up. The kid character has autism or something and is nonverbal and annoying. It's hard to empathize with a lead character that grunts and wheezes his way through the whole story. He's got a terrible haircut too. Someone forgot that aesthetics is a big part of casting. Speaking of which, the monster in this isn't nearly as scary as that ginger kid who looks like he crawled out of some evil clown's nightmare. Jeez!
Acting is good but the story a bit flat and repetitive, despite being based on a generally good idea. Love the very last scene!
Pretty good. Acting is great.
