Hard to follow the flashbacks

The only thing I didn't like was the quick interchange from different moments in his life, and memories. It was little hard to keep up. But the movie was beautifully shot, and played by very talented actors. Some of the history was new to me, and very interesting. Go see this movie before its gone.

This History was an a scary time. Very thankful Germany over came this, and came back to be a great country.

Loved the movie. It really showed what Hitler was really trying to do. Wipe out Christianity while making himself the supreme being to be worshipped.

Exceptional in every way and very impactful! Accurate to history so if you want to pass on reading some 500 pages Bonhoeffer is a must see…

I read the book by Eric Metaxas and was so glad the the book was brought to life to life .Message: Do not be afraid to speak up when witnessing evil and injustice.

This so call movie reviewers must love Communism and Dictators ... this is a GREAT movie about a man who gave it for his convictions ... when all of Germany was in Goose Step with Hitler he stood up for principles. This movie captures his bravery and theological struggle beautifully. I will watch it again with a friend next weekend.

I was glued to the movie screen taking in every word delivered in wonderful acting. Everyone should see this movie based on faith and courage to stand tall when others lack it.

Courage in our culture is a rare virtue. Cowardice however, is a common default position. Bonhoeffer is a heartfelt reminder that we must stand for Christ and defend the persecuted (in his case the Jews in ours the unborn) at all costs. the church should and must be the conscience of the state. To simply stay in our churches and "preach the gospel" is not what Christ is calling us to be and do. the life and actions of Bonheoffer personifies the quote of Abraham Kuyper: " there is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existance over which Christ, who is sovereign over all, does not cry, Mine!".

We need to be aware of history so we recognize patterns that need to be disrupted before they destroy us. Bonhoeffer was a man of courage. A true hero who stood up for the targeted and for humanity.
