Joe Eszterhas is a very interesting man who has done some good writing; but he found his greatest career success writing some truly terrible thrillers. The "did-she-or-didn't-she" plot is a tedious seesaw, and there's some dialogue that's so godawful it's unintentionally hilarious. It's unsurprising that Douglas would sign on to this one. It's like a holographic projection of his libido. This movie did make Stone a star, which is another reason to dislike the film. Of course, the best reason, the *only* reason to watch this is the famous scene where the beautiful Miss Stone shows her ****. It's brief, but it's worth it.
