Clumsy and histrionic legal drama. Lots of phony passion and loud speeches but no logic. Pacino plays a either a criminal attorney or a civil litigator (he does both in this film. Does he not have a specialty? Maybe that's where the title comes from) Lays the melodrama on thick, such as having (SPOILER REMOVED), a futile and self-destructive gesture that is not convincing in the slightest. This is lazy writing masquerading as idealism. A badly dated example of Hollywood leftist tripe. This probably would to been too much for even Stanley Kramer.
