Excellent movie, Sandra Hüller certainly would have deserved that Oscar! There also should be a category "Best animal performance" for Messi the dog. Some really great scenes with very convincing and emotional performances by Milo as Sandra‘s son Daniel, that staccato piano got stuck in my brain. Some great and subtle shots over his shoulder in the court room, watching his mum on the stand. Strange the differences between the legal systems, where apparently the defendant can be addressed at any time during the proceedings. Long yes, but worth the time.

A film about modern marriage, gender, and the stories we choose to tell about our lives. Excellent cinematography, excellent use of sound and music, excellent cast.

Good movie for anybody who likes the focus on atmosphere and doesn’t mind the length. Good performances by Sandra Hüller and her son Daniel, quite believable. I was waiting for the major twist towards the end, which didn’t seem to come though. I’d probably have decided same way as the jurors, but it leaves the audience with a touch of uncertainty.

This movie grows slowly. It asks to be savored. There isn't anything exciting going on. You just have to listen and dwell. And that is strangely satisfying.
