Must see for alien fans

Another DEI movie; one hispanic, one black, one asian, one gay. I couldn't figure out who the transgender was or the blind one either.

The first 40 minutes of the film are a boredom fest of insipid dialogue against a background of excessively loud banging noises. The annoying background noise does not make up for the poor script. I left after 40 minutes, so I can't comment on the rest of the film.

Regurgitation of a classic is not the worst. Not the best either. Actors were too young. The originals weren't kids. People running a space ship and shooting military grade machine guns shouldn't be kids. Time for something new.

I think alien covent was better.and that's not saying much. They gave way to many "nods" to Alien and Aliens. 1 or 2 nods is good but they gave like 10 nods which turned me off. also all the actors were boring. Not one of them stood out. I thought the black robot was the best actor. Lol

Does the franchise a well needed solid. Well done. Would've preferred a slightly older cast, but i guess the money is with the youngsters

Pretty good

First of all, this is not a horror film. It's a fun thrill ride that puts you on the edge of your seat (with a few jump scares added in for good measure). WAY BETTER than every Alien movie since Aliens, and perhaps the best one out of the series. Best effects for sure. Good story. Great actors. The only letdown is how illogically fast the aliens grow. Other than that, a lot of fun to watch. 5 stars. 0 stars to Tribute.ca, however, for giving incorrect information. Said it was a normal screening but it was Screen-X. It was my first time going into one of those theaters and I hated it. Small, poor quality main screen, and distracting side screens. Walked out and watched the perfect AVX screening that started half and hour later.

Started a bit slow but I was eventually totally focused & into it, 2hrs went fast. Great special effects. The only downfall was the dark background all the time, witch means cheap set. Plus I saw it in the X theater at Landmark(picture front, left, right.)
