SKANDAR KEYNES
Date of Birth: September 5, 1991
Born in London, England, Skandar Keynes got involved with acting when his mother signed him up for an after school drama class at a community theater.
Small for his age at 11, he landed his first onscreen role playing eight-year-old Enzo Ferrari in the TV drama Ferrari (2003). After undergoing a lengthy audition process, during which the producers saw 2,000 young hopefuls, Skandar won the role of a lifetime: playing Edmund Pevensie, one of four siblings who enter a strange world when they step through a magical wardrobe in the major motion picture The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005).
During the shoot in New Zealand, Skandar, who was chosen for the role by director Andrew Adamson because of his mischievous qualities, became well-known for the practical jokes he pulled on the set. He grew more than six inches during the six months of filming and his costumes needed to be adjusted almost weekly.
In his spare time, Skandar enjoys horseback riding and studying tae kwon do.
