Nebraska native Scott Porter began his acting career on stage with two successful off-Broadway productions. He was a Drama League Ensemble Cast nominee for his role in Altar Boyz and starred in the award-winning Toxic Audio (Drama Desk Award, Most Unique Theatrical Experience).

In 2006, Porter began a string of high-profile television roles. After appearing in episodes of As The World Turns and Ugly Betty, Porter was able to land the regular role of Jason Street, a paralyzed ex-quarterback on NBC's hit drama Friday Night Lights.

Porter's feature film debut came in 2007's Music and Lyrics starring opposite Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. He then appeared in the 2007 independent thriller Descent with Rosario Dawson. Porter can also be seen in Andy and Larry Wachowski's Speed Racer (2008) and Bandslam (2009) alongside Vanessa Anne Hudgens (High School Musical). His latest titles include Dear John (2010) and The To Do List (2013).
