SCOTT KALVERT
American director Scott Kalvert started his film career in the music video
and commercial industry. While helming videos for such artists as Jazzy
Jeff and the Fresh Prince, Snoop Dog, LL Cool J, Bobby Brown, Guns and Roses
and Mark Wahlberg, he found success in the commercial industry creating
award-winning spots for McDonald's, Sprite, Pioneer and 7-11.
Following Mark Wahlberg into feature films, the two worked together in
Kalvert's debut film, The Basketball Diaries released in 1995. The
critically acclaimed film earned little at the box office, but helped launch
the career of Leonardo DiCaprio. Kalvert followed up the film with Deuces
Wild (2002).
