RODRIGO GARCÍA
Date of Birth: August 24, 1959
Born in Bogota, Columbia, director Rodrigo García is the son of renowned Columbian Nobel prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez (Love in the time of Cholera). After graduating from Harvard University with a degree in medieval history, García studied film at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, California. He then began his career working as a production assistant and camera operator on many films in the late '90s. In 2000, García made his writing and directing debut with Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her starring Cameron Diaz. He followed that by directing episodes of The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Big Love, Tell Me You Love Me, and In Treatment for HBO.
García returned to the big screen in 2005 when he wrote and directed the drama Nice Lives, starring
