OMARI GRANDBERRY
Date of Birth: November 12, 1984
Born in Los Angeles, Omari Grandberry broke into show business when he landed a nationwide Corn Pops cereal commercial. But it was thanks to his friend Marques Houston's guidance that Grandberry has gained international acclaim. A member of the musical group IMX, Marques helped Omari improve his musical techniques from singing to songwriting to playing various instruments. Marques' manager, Chris Stokes, signed Omari as a member of a new hip-hop group, B2K, giving the boy the new name Omarion. The group was discovered at an Epic Records Showcase and since then two of their albums have gone platinum.
Grandberry made his feature film debut opposite Marques in You Got Served (2004), playing a street dancer who wants to open a recording studio. He followed that up with a role in Fat Albert. From 2005 to 2006 he played a recurring role on the TV series Cuts, opposite Marques. Back on the big screen, he played a starring role as a rapper who falls in love in Feel the Noise (2007). Along with Stokes and Marques, he formed a production company called Franchise Boys.
