NATASHA CALIS
Date of Birth: 2000
Natasha Calis is a young Canadian who is making a name for herself as an up-and-coming dramatic genius. Being referred to as his "Go-to Girl" by Canadian director Grant Harvey before she even hit her sweet sixteen, Calis has proven herself to be a very capable actress when it comes to showing intense emotion or tears on command.
Starting her career at age seven in Christmas Caper (2007) alongside Shannen Doherty, Calis has since participated in a variety of projects, including voicing a character in Barbie Presents: Thumbelina (2009). She has also appeared in multiple movies surrounding the theme of kidnapping or hostages, taking her to the outskirts of emotion and setting her up perfectly for a future in the genre. This includes TV movies such as Held Hostage with Dexter's Julie Benz and Gone with Molly Parker and Lochlyn Munro.
Calis has also worked with Kat Dennings, Andie MacDowell and Josh Lucas in the feature film Daydream Nation (2010) and Shaun Majumder and Juliette Lewis on the TV series The Firm, her most recognized role to date.
A true testament to her skill, her latest role as Em in the feature film The Possession (2012) depicts her as a young girl taken over by a demon who refuses to let go. A mixture of fear, anger, sadness and innocence, this role may prove to be one that guarantees her spot in Hollywood for years to come.
